My life used to be very sad and boring. As a child I never had a lot of friends and it stayed like that all through high school. However, when I was in university, I did find some company, but those friends actually helped me to start drinking and using marijuana and even LSD. So from being very lonely I now became dependant on using drugs….

It was at this time that my sister got baptised. During that occasion, I felt like God was urging me to do the same. I felt very strongly that I should be bapt

ised as well. The preacher there even invited other people to come forward. But at the time I didn't dare to...

So another 3 years of misery passed by in which I even tried to kill myself by taking a huge dose of a poisonous plant. This ended in a night of complete darkness where I couldn't see, hear or feel anything else other than my own heartbeat.

Thank God He did not given upon me! It was through a friend that I finally came to meet Jesus. This friend got a hot-chocolate in the winter from some friendly people from a church. She was so touched by it that she told me to go and meet them. So I went to this church. And slowly I started to understand more about God and Jesus. That Jesus had died for me and that He would forgive everything that I have done wrong to give me a new chance. So, a couple of months later I gave my life to Jesus and was baptised!!!!!!!!

Now a new life started, slowly I started to feel more secured and accepted. I didn't need to feel lonely anymore as God had accepted me into His family! Jesus also helped me to depend on Him and after a few years I didn't use any drugs anymore. I realised that I used those only to escape my loneliness and misery. Thank God for loving us soooo much!!!!!!!!!
