I became a Christian in 2005 which happened in Malaysia after I was invited to a Care Group. Once I returned to London I joined Hope London on 17th December, 2006. On my first Sunday service at Hope London I felt quite nervous as I didn't know what to expect and barely knew anybody but I still managed to meet and talk to 9 people on that day. I had intended on coming to church once a month as it was quite far to travel. However I found myself coming to church every week as I started to get into it and got to know people and God.

I was impressed by how friendly and kind people at church were that after a while made me feel wanted and gave me the opportunity to make a few friends. However at times I struggled to really commit to pray, to worship and to even come to the front. At present I feel that I am closer to God and when I worship or pray, tears fall from my eyes. I even attended events and went on holidays with fellow church members which I didn't expect. Now I am always excited and motivated by coming to church and feel I am doing it from my heart. I do hope to become more active in church as I hope to mature as a Christian. So far I have carried out care group and church duties and hope to carry out more challenging duties in the future.
