I became a member of Hope Church London in September 2007. My journey in Christ actually dates back to a much longer time. Indeed I was baptised in the Catholic faith as a child but I did not realise how much I had distanced myself from God until 8 years ago when I was invited by a fellow student to visit an Evangelical church. I was deeply touched then and my belief in God was rekindled. However, I was not ready to be a committed Christian at the time, and over the following years I became a drifting Christian, going to different churches sporadically whenever it suited me.

Looking back, that was a dangerous situation because I did not know the Word of God, did not have a firm Biblical grounding and had nobody to turn to for spiritual guidance. And needless to say, my life was a bit of a roller coaster ride. As it turned out, it was the last straw that broke the camel's back which finally led me back to the Lord. I am now beginning to understand the importance of fellowship, commitment and accountability.

In Hope Church I have found the opportunity to grow in Christ and there has been tremendous encouragement and support from my mentor and other church members. So if you are in a similar situation today, please take the step of faith and commit yourself in the body of Christ and surely your life will change forever.
