Our Vision

Our VISION is to fulfil JESUS' GREAT COMMISSION in our life time by building STRONG and BIBLICAL PEOPLE, to plant STRONG and BIBLICAL CHURCHES in London, the United Kingdom and all over the world [Matthew 18 v 18-20; Acts 1 v 8].

Here at the Hope Church London we are building a strong and biblical church with the following seven characteristics in our life groups and our local churches.

A Church of Vision
We believe a church must be vision-driven in fulfilling the Great Commission of Jesus.

A Church of Love & Fellowship
We believe a church that is committed to one another in love and fellowship.

A Church of Training Leaders
We believe a church that equips and empowers ordinary people to release their skills and talents to the fullest potential.

A Church of Prayer & Worship
We believe a church that believes and experiences the power of prayer and worship in individual and corporate life.

A Church of Teaching & Preaching
We believe a church that teaches the Word of God faithfully through comprehensive teaching and expository preaching.

A Church Full of The Holy Spirit
We believe a church that relies and operates on the empowerment of the Holy Spirit.

A Church of Evangelism & Mission
We believe a church that is reaching the lost through disciple making and church planting.

Our Core Values

This Church is designed:

  1. To obey the Great Commission which is God's vision for us, as the key goal of our life [Mt 28:18-20; Mt 24:14; Acts 20:24].
  2. To be responsible for spreading the Gospel by starting a seed church in every major city, all over the nation and all over the world [Acts1:8].
  3. To treat the Church with utmost respect as the central plan of God to achieve His eternal purpose [Eph 3:10].
  4. To follow the will of God in doing that which is most beneficial for the Kingdom of God [Mk 8:34; 1 Jn 2:17b; Rom 12:2].
  5. To invest our life in the local church where we are trained, corrected, disciplined and equipped to do the work of ministry.
  6. To maintain a spirit of unity in essentials and allow room for differences in non-essentials [Eph 4:3].
  7. To mobilise every member to serve the Lord fully with all kinds of giftings, talents and professions [Eph 4:16].
  8. To be a full-time minister, one must first be a functioning minister by serving the Lord fully. Not all will be most effective by going full-time, but all should be willing!
  9. To appoint leaders - theocratically, supported by the fruits of their ministries and not via democracy.
  10. To appoint a pastor as leader of the local church's leadership team.
  11. To ensure that every Christian is under proper spiritual covering.
  12. To set up a Bible school within the local church as a natural source of supply of future leaders.
  13. To ensure that the local church is functioning in unity; any divisive issues will be addressed without delay to keep the church pure and blameless before God.
  14. To function as a team in the context of a local church.
  15. To set up proper organisation for growth with 80% mission emphasis and 20% Intensive Care Unit ( ICU ) ministry.
  16. To build a church based on a covenantal relationship with God and with one another.
  17. To treat authority as a blessing and exercise it with love and wisdom [Heb 13:17].
  18. To ensure that each local church is a self-supporting and giving centre.
  19. To equip each local church with the capacity to plant other churches.
  20. To raise functioning leaders from within the local church.
  21. To confirm the Gospel with signs and wonders and strongly encourage members to exercise their spiritual gifts.
  22. To build the church as a place of security for all people.
  23. To be a salt and light model church in our society, being different yet influential in touching all walks of life with the Gospel.
